Singer
songwriter Tate Moore grew up in Southeast Ohio. In 1992 he
moved to Oxford, MS to begin his freshman year of college. While
at Ole Miss he teamed up with members of his first band, The
Kudzu Kings. The Kings released two independent records selling
over 10,000 units. While touring the country from 1994 to 2004,
the Kings played and filled many prominent music venues, in
addition to spreading their talent to the rest of the nation
and Canada. They've shared the stage many a time with Widespread
Panic (Red Rocks in 2000), as well as with many other artists
including Bob Weir and Rob Wasserman, Junior Brown, Jimmie Dale
Gilmore and the North Mississippi Allstars. Tate's latest album,
Punk Poet, assembles a stellar cast of Kudzu alumni and many
others.
